Jarrah and Karri come from local forest areas responsibly managed by the WA Forest Products Commission. Larger section jarrah and karri is cut to order and supplied with a sawn finish and green (un-seasoned). This keeps the cost down but also means that the timber will split and crack as it is exposed to the elements and starts naturally drying. Regular oiling and end-sealing will slow down but will not prevent this happening. Large solid sections are possible such as 200×200 and long lengths up to 6m are possible. Suitable for both structural and decorative applications.

Special Note : The WA State Government has decided (without industry consultation) to place a ban on Jarrah and Karri Logging from Dec 2023. This has caused most sawmills to shutdown almost immediately. Some log availability does still exist but it is a job by job proposition, let us know your requirements and we will advise.
