With restrictions on harvesting native Jarrah and Karri forest, Merbau Solid Section Timber is now a great alternative for solid structural beams and posts. Like the Western Australian timbers, Merbau is a hardwood and is naturally strong. Its resistance to insects and rot also makes it an appealing choice for use in or close to the ground.

Using Merbau Solid Section Indoors 

Merbau’s strength and consistent colour can create beautiful internal structures like staircases. The solid, unlaminated timber comes in a range of lengths and can be easily cut to make stair treads. The timber is kiln dried to 12-16% moisture level which creates a solid, stable timber for years to come.
