NewTechWood composite cladding is made from 60% recycled timber fibre and 40% recycled plastics. Every board manufactured keeps plastics out of landfill. An engineered polymer shield fully caps the core of each board, keeping moisture absorption as low as 0.1% and protecting against UV, staining and termite damage.
An experienced tradesperson will find composite cladding straightforward to install. Boards come in uniform lengths, are easy to cut and shape, and can be fixed to a variety of substrates, including brick. All screws can be hidden using concealed fixing systems, creating a clean, professional finish. In general, installation is quicker than natural timber cladding.
The most significant difference is maintenance. Natural timber cladding requires regular cleaning, resealing and potentially sanding over its lifetime. NewTechWood composite cladding requires only a regular clean – no oiling, sanding or painting needed.
Today’s composite cladding closely replicates the grain and colour of natural timber. Made from 95% recycled materials, it’s also a more sustainable choice. While composite cladding may carry a higher upfront cost than standard painted timber, the absence of ongoing maintenance costs means it can offer strong long-term value.
Natural timber can have a limited lifespan if not maintained regularly. Dry timber is prone to splitting, splintering and fading. NewTechWood composite cladding is engineered to resist UV degradation, thermal expansion, moisture and insect attack.
