Installation and Product Information
WoodEvo’s products replicate the natural variation seen in timber, so colour, texture and grain can vary from board to board. For best results, it is recommended to mix boards during installation rather than selecting boards only from the top of the bundle, especially when more than one pack is used on a job.
To ensure planning and installation runs smoothly, always:
- Prepare a clean, smooth, strong and flat subframe or framework.
- Plan for thermal movement (expansion and contraction) and maintain appropriate gaps.
- Use approved fixings and systems. Do not use nails or nail guns for decking.
- Consider heat and reflection risks, including potential damage from strong heat sources or reflected sunlight from energy-efficient window products.
- Minimum clearance requirements for decking include 150 mm over soil and 28 mm over concrete.
- It is recommended to install decking when the temperature is under 30°C.
Accessories
- The simple, economical clip system installation helps achieve consistent spacing and a clean finish.
- Standard clips provide 5 mm spacing between boards and are available for timber or metal joists.
- For BAL-29 bushfire applications, clips are available in 2.5 mm for ADVANCED and 3 mm for HOME.

- Clean with a gentle soap and water solution.
- For tough stains, use diluted white vinegar in water.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners and solvent-based chemicals.
- Pressure washers up to 1400 psi. Use a wide spray and keep at a safe distance to avoid surface damage.
