SiOO:X is a totally unique product designed to minimise maintenance
SiOO:X wood protection is a water-based impregnation system. It is based on proven silicate technology and natural products to give timber long life surface protection. Importantly it is completely safe, inert and environmentally friendly. It is manufactured in Sweden and consists of a two component system designed to interact and create this unique protection system. SiOO:X provides a long-term weathered look without leaving timber unprotected.

how does it work
SiOO:X is inspired by how nature protects itself using its own natural technology. It forms a natural protective barrier using only natural, non-toxic ingredients. The system has two components.
The first component called Wood Protector has tiny silicon molecules that penetrate into the timber where they react to form a flexible and insoluble silica network.
The second component called Surface Protector is engineered to bind and work with Wood Protector in synergy, providing protection to the timber while the Sioo:X system cures to form the permanent network in the wood beneath.
The system aims to achieve a more consistently weathered look without the long wait. There may be some initial patchiness which will fade out over a number of weeks. The process will then continue to develop over 12 to 24 months. Time taken will vary depending on the timber specie, exposure level, time of the year etc.

We strongly recommend factory application, pigments need to be mixed by machine in factory conditions for optimal performance.
